NLIEC Archives

The following pages and documents previously resided on www.nliec.org. They have moved to this website to make it more convenient for readers to locate information on one website rather than having to jump back and forth among three sites.

NLIEC Achievement Award -- Information about the highest award bestowed by NLIEC and its list of recipients can be found by clicking here.

NLIEC News -- Before NEUAC News, our monthly newsletter existed under another name but contained the same content: news from within the energy assistance community, news from our nation's capital and the 50 states, news capsules, and editorial and op-ed content. Click here to find newsletters from the NLIEC years.

Past Energy Conferences -- This section contains pages for National Low Income Energy Conferences held from 2001 through 2007, prior to the establishment of the National Energy and Utility Affordability Conference. To learn more about those NLIEC conferences, click on one of the years immediately below:

Principles and Resolutions -- The National Low Income Energy Consortium's Board of Directors approved a resolution in 1998 supporting the establishment of a framework to protect low-income residents and consumers in any possible restructuring of the electric industry. In 2005, the Board approved a resolution to support adequate funding for the Low Income Energy  Assistance Program. Click here to read the language adopted by NLIEC.

Projects and Partnerships -- This section of the archives, available by clicking here, contains summaries of various projects and partnership initiatives conducted by NLIEC. Two projects are particularly noteworthy: The Cold Facts and a study of LIHEAP recipients titled Paid But Unaffordable: The Consequences of Energy Poverty in Missouri.
