Scholarship Information

Both the National Fuel FUnds Network and the National Low Income Energy Consortium provide scholarships to enable greater participation in the knowledge-sharing and network-building activities that occur at the National Energy and Utility Affordability Conference.

NFFN Scholarships

The NFFN conducts the Sister Pat Kelley Scholarship program, named in honor of the Network’s founder, for nonprofit members of NFFN. For additional information on how to apply for the scholarships, contact George Coling of NFFN via e-mail at coling@nationalfuelfunds.org.

NLIEC Scholarships

The NLIEC established the Vicky Mroczek Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2003 in honor of its late board chair to provide support to those who otherwise could not attend the conference. It also administers the Michael LeM. Kennedy Scholarship Fund, which was established in 1998 by Citizens Energy Corporation to honor its late chairman, a longtime member of the NLIEC Board of Directors. The Kennedy scholarship is presented to an individual from an organization, profession or field of interest which previously has not been closely associated with the low-income energy community.

Joint Scholarships

The NFFN and NLIEC, together, also administer other scholarship programs. These include, but are not limited to, the Gove Group scholarships honoring our longtime conference managers, APPRISE scholarships and Alliant Energy Foundation scholarships, which are awarded to representatives from nonprofits in Alliant Energy's service territory: Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
